Detailed Itinerary


Day 1

Drive from Shimla (2276 mts) to Janglik (2804 mts) 150 km (8 to 9 hours)

The Trailblazer Programme begins with a scenic mountain drive from Shimla to the picturesque village of Janglik. The route passes through dense pine forests, traditional Himalayan settlements, and beautiful valleys.

Program Highlights:

  • This day helps participants gradually adapt to the altitude.

Day 2

Janglik (2804 mts) to Dayara (3366 mts) 7.7 km (5 to 6 hours)

The trek officially begins through dense forests of pine and oak. The trail gradually opens into wide alpine meadows known as “thatch.”

Training & Activities:

  • Dayara offers breathtaking meadow views and serves as an excellent acclimatization camp.

Overnight camping at Dayara.

Day 3

Dayara (3366 mts) to Litham (3533 mts) 5 to 6 km (3 to 4 hours)

A gradual ascent through rolling meadows and glacial streams leads to Litham, one of the most scenic campsites of the trek.

Learning Modules:

  • Navigation basics (map reading & terrain understanding)
  • Environmental awareness session
  • Leave No Trace principles

  • Students camp near alpine landscapes surrounded by towering Himalayan ridges.

Overnight stay at Litham.

Day 4

Litham (3533 mts) to Chandranahan lake (4029 mts) and back to Litham (3533 mts) 8.3 km (5 to 6 hours)

This is the most rewarding day of the Trailblazer Program. The trek climbs toward the sacred and pristine Chandranahan Glacial Lakes, located at 4,029 meters.

The lake is believed to be the origin of the Pabbar River and is surrounded by snowfields and dramatic Himalayan landscapes.

Adventure & Skill Training:

After exploration and group activities, participants descend back to Litham for overnight camping.

Day 5

Litham (3533 mts) to Simir thatch (3004 mts approx. 8 km (3 to 4 hours)

The descent towards Simir Thatch offers expansive valley views and diverse terrain.

  • Simir Thatch provides a peaceful meadow campsite ideal for concluding leadership modules.

Overnight stay at Simir Thatch.

Day 6

Simir thatch (3004 mts approx.) to Janglik (2804 ( mts) 4 km ( 2 to 3 hours) and drive to Shimla  150 km (8 to 9 hours)

Drive Back to Shimla

A short and comfortable descent brings the group back to Janglik village.

After lunch, the team drives back to Shimla with unforgettable memories and newly developed life skills.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS. The altitude, the terrain, and the nature of the climb demand a certain level of endurance and a need for you to be aware of how your body reacts to the various features of the high-altitude environment.

Cancellation Policy

Cash Refund (All events including Friendship Peak Expedition except other Mountaineering Expeditions) - Cash refunds are only available for bookings made without any discounts, such as promotional codes or dynamic discounts. Additionally, cash refunds are not available for shifted batch bookings or if the booking status is "Booked". Add-ons are non-refundable. The amount of the refund will be determined based on the following guidelines:

Cancellations made up to 45 days before the departure date

5% deduction

Cancellations made up to 31 days before the departure date

10% deduction

Cancellations made between 30 and 21 days before the departure date

25% deduction

Cancellations made between 20 and 11 days before the departure date

50% deduction

Cancellations made less than 11 days before the departure date are not eligible for a cash refund.

Voucher Refund Policy

Voucher Refund: This option is available for all types of bookings including the bookings made under promotional offers. The Wanderin' Man Adventures would offer you a short-term voucher that would enable you with a flexibility to book any other Wanderin' Man Adventures event using the voucher.

The option of claiming a voucher is available till 7 days prior to the departure of the event. The refund of the amount would be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:

  • • Cancellations up to 7 days prior to departure date – No deduction
  • • Less than 7 days prior to departure – No Refund

The amount for refund processing would always be calculated basis the net amount paid* for booking the event with respect to the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, portage, etc.).

Please note that the voucher issued would not include the service tax amount paid while making the booking. However, when you use the voucher to book again on our website, service tax would not be applicable on the voucher amount.

Validity of the voucher would be 24 months from the date of issue.

*Net Amount Paid would be the amount paid to Wanderin' Man Adventures at the time of booking after adjusting for all rebates provided by applying vouchers.
