Aancha Top Trek in Uttarakhand is a beautiful and tranquil winter trek located in the Yamunotri region. Day 1
Drive From Dehradun (640 mts.) to Ranachatti (2134 Mts.) 160 km (7 to 8 hours)
Your journey begins from Dehradun, driving through the winding mountain roads of Uttarakhand. As soon as you leave the city behind, the air turns crisp and the scenery transforms into dense pine forests, deep valleys, and river-side views. En route, you pass small Himalayan villages, terraced fields, and beautiful viewpoints.
By late afternoon, you reach Ranachatti, a peaceful hamlet surrounded by towering mountains. After settling into your campsite/guest house, enjoy some hot snacks and spend the evening acclimatizing. A short orientation is conducted by the trek leader about safety, weather, and the trek route.
Overnight stay in Ranachatti.
Day 2
Trek from Ranachatti (2134 Mts.) to Bamsingh (2804 Mts.) 4 km (3 hours)
The trek begins with a gradual ascent through oak and rhododendron forests. The trail is filled with the sound of flowing streams and chirping birds. As you climb higher, you begin to see panoramic glimpses of surrounding peaks.
The final stretch of today’s hike opens into a wide meadow—Bamsingh campsite—known for its open grasslands and fantastic sunset views. On clear days, you can even see distant snow-capped ridges glowing orange during dusk.
After lunch, you can explore the meadows or simply relax.
Overnight stay in Bamsingh.
Day 3
Trek from Bamsingh (2804 Mts.) to Dinnala Camp (3277 Mts.) 4 km (4 Hours)
Today’s route takes you deeper into the high-altitude terrain. The trail is a mix of steep climbs and gentle traverses through thick forests. As you gain altitude, the vegetation changes and the air becomes thinner and cooler.
On reaching Dinnala Camp, you are greeted by sweeping views of the valley below and a close-up look at the surrounding ranges. This campsite is known for its peaceful and secluded setting. The evening sky here is incredible—perfect for stargazing.

Day 4
Trek from Dinnala (3277 Mts.) to Aancha Camp (3475 Mts.)via Aancha Top (3818 Mts.) 8 km (7 Hours)
This is the summit day—the most rewarding and challenging part of the trek.
The trail begins with a steady ascent through alpine ridges. As you climb, the surroundings open up to expansive Himalayan views. The final stretch to Aancha Top (3818m) may feel steep, but the effort is worth it.
At the summit, you are welcomed by a breathtaking 360° panorama of snow-covered peaks, deep valleys, and untouched Himalayan wilderness. This is the highlight moment of the trek—perfect for group photos, reflection, and soaking in nature’s silence.
After spending time at the summit, descend gradually to Aancha Camp (3475m), located in a serene open meadow surrounded by mountain walls.

Day 5
Trek from Aancha (3475 Mts.) to Ranachatti (2134 Mts.) 6 km (5 Hours)
The descent begins after breakfast, retracing the path through meadows, forests, and scenic river crossings. The downhill walk is easier and gives you ample time to enjoy the landscapes you crossed earlier. You reach Ranachatti by afternoon.
Spend your final evening in the mountains sharing stories, celebrating your successful summit, and enjoying the quiet of the Himalayan village.

Day 6
Drive from Ranachatti (2134 Mts.) to Dehradun (640 Mts) 160 km (7 to 8 hours)
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Dehradun. The return journey takes you once again along rivers, cliffs, and lush mountains, giving you your final beautiful glimpses of Uttarakhand.
Arrive in Dehradun by evening, marking the end of your memorable Aancha Top Trek.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS.
