IntroductionThe Annapurna base camp is splendid in nature and majestic in height. A dream expedition for any expeditionist, it is bound to attract lot of crowds to it. The trek is located in the Annapurna region. It is also known as Annapurna sanctuary trek. The Annapurna massif gives you the splendid experience of both the beauty and mystery that is embedded in its every corner. As you step into the region you will be greeted by the site of Fishtail, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho, Pisang, Pungda, Danda and many other peaks. You will be visiting the famous Poon Hill viewpoint and relaxing in the natural hot water pool at Jhinu Danda.During the trek you will be coming across the glimpses of Nepali hospitality. On the way you will come across the number of tea houses providing the refreshments. You will also find the splendid beauty of the nature of its flora and fauna. The accommodation is primarily arranged in the tea houses. The trek is going to be a test of your strength and perseverance.

Detailed Itinerary


Day 1

Arrive in Pokhara – 885 m

Arrive in Pokhara and check into a lakeside hotel. Relax, explore local markets, enjoy a boat ride on Phewa Lake, or prepare for the trek.

Day 2

Drive to Nayapul & Trek to Ghandruk – 2,003 m

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, followed by a scenic trek through terraced fields and forests to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk with stunning mountain views.
Overnight: Teahouse

Day 3

Ghandruk to Lower Sinuwa – 2,260 m

Trek through rhododendron forests and villages, passing Kimrong Valley and Chhomrong. Cross the ACAP checkpoint and continue ascending to Lower Sinuwa.
Overnight: Teahouse

Day 4

Lower Sinuwa to Deurali – 3,170 m

A challenging ascent through bamboo forests, suspension bridges, waterfalls, and avalanche-prone areas along the Modi Khola.
Overnight: Teahouse

Day 5

Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp via MBC – 4,130 m

Trek past Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700 m) and enter the Annapurna Sanctuary. Reach Annapurna Base Camp surrounded by Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and other peaks.
Overnight: Teahouse at ABC

Day 6

Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo – 2,310 m

Descend from ABC through MBC and Deurali, returning to bamboo and rhododendron forests.
Overnight: Teahouse

Day 7

Bamboo to Jhinu Danda – 1,725 m

Descend via Sinuwa and Chhomrong to Jhinu Danda. Enjoy a relaxing dip in the natural hot springs nearby.
Overnight: Teahouse

Day 8

Jhinu to Nayapul & Drive to Pokhara – 885 m

Final trek to Nayapul through villages and river valleys, followed by a drive back to Pokhara.
Overnight: Hotel

Day 9

Departure from Pokhara – 885 m

Transfer to Pokhara Airport or continue onward to Kathmandu or other destinations.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a level 4 adventure on the Bikat Rating Scale.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS. The altitude, the terrain, and the nature of the climb demand a certain level of endurance and a need for you to be aware of how your body reacts to the various features of the high-altitude environment.

Cancellation Policy

Cash Refund (All events including Friendship Peak Expedition except other Mountaineering Expeditions) - Cash refunds are only available for bookings made without any discounts, such as promotional codes or dynamic discounts. Additionally, cash refunds are not available for shifted batch bookings or if the booking status is "Booked". Add-ons are non-refundable. The amount of the refund will be determined based on the following guidelines:

Cancellations made up to 45 days before the departure date

5% deduction

Cancellations made up to 31 days before the departure date

10% deduction

Cancellations made between 30 and 21 days before the departure date

25% deduction

Cancellations made between 20 and 11 days before the departure date

50% deduction

Cancellations made less than 11 days before the departure date are not eligible for a cash refund.

Voucher Refund Policy

Voucher Refund: This option is available for all types of bookings including the bookings made under promotional offers. The Wanderin' Man Adventures would offer you a short-term voucher that would enable you with a flexibility to book any other Wanderin' Man Adventures event using the voucher.

The option of claiming a voucher is available till 7 days prior to the departure of the event. The refund of the amount would be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:

  • • Cancellations up to 7 days prior to departure date – No deduction
  • • Less than 7 days prior to departure – No Refund

The amount for refund processing would always be calculated basis the net amount paid* for booking the event with respect to the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, portage, etc.).

Please note that the voucher issued would not include the service tax amount paid while making the booking. However, when you use the voucher to book again on our website, service tax would not be applicable on the voucher amount.

Validity of the voucher would be 24 months from the date of issue.

*Net Amount Paid would be the amount paid to Wanderin' Man Adventures at the time of booking after adjusting for all rebates provided by applying vouchers.
