Detailed Itinerary


Day 1

Arrive in Manali and begin your skiing journey with ski fitting, learning the basics of gliding and side-stepping to get comfortable on your skis. 

Arrive in Manali and get settled. After checking into your accommodation, the day begins with ski fitting where you receive your boots, skis, and poles. You will learn the basic gliding and side-stepping techniques, helping you gain comfort and confidence on the snow. This initial session sets the foundation for your skiing journey.

Day 2

Dive into an immersive skiing experience on  baby slope, focusing on controlled falls and mastering the snow plough technique to confidently stop and turn. 

Today, head to the baby slope for your first real skiing practice. The focus is on learning how to fall safely and getting familiar with the snow plough technique, enabling you to stop and turn with control. This day is all about building balance and learning to maneuver across gentle terrain.

Day 3

Skills by practicing stem turns and parallel skiing to enhance control and smoothness on the slopes. 

With basic movements mastered, the training advances to practicing stem turns and parallel skiing. These techniques improve your steering and help maintain speed control on the slopes. The day involves repeated practice focusing on smooth and controlled skiing under expert supervision.

Day 4

Step up to more challenging terrain, applying your new techniques on slightly steeper slopes. 

Today is about stepping up to steeper slopes. Using your newly acquired skills, you will negotiate these more challenging terrains, building strength and confidence to handle varied gradients and snow conditions.

Day 5

Experience the thrill of descending on slope, starting to the top for an exciting skiing run. 

Experience the exhilaration of riding the top of slope. From this vantage point, you'll practice controlled descents, applying your skills to navigate the slope with precision. This day is a thrilling test of your ability to combine balance, control, and technique.

Day 6

Ski from the top , participate in a friendly skiing competition, and celebrate your progress with certificate and medal distribution. 

Ski down from the top of the top slop, participating in a friendly skiing competition designed to challenge and showcase your progress. Celebrate your achievements at the end of the day with a certificate and medal ceremony, recognizing your successful completion of the course.


 

Day 7

Depart from Manali, carrying unforgettable memories and new found skiing skills.

After breakfast and final farewells, depart Manali carrying valuable skiing skills and unforgettable memories of your Himalayan adventure. This day concludes your perfect introduction to skiing, ready for future snowy escapades.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a level 4 adventure on the Bikat Rating Scale.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS. The altitude, the terrain, and the nature of the climb demand a certain level of endurance and a need for you to be aware of how your body reacts to the various features of the high-altitude environment.

This is a list of essential items for individuals going on a trek with Wanderin’ Man Adventures. This list contains only those items which the participants are required to bring with them. The list excludes those items which are provided by Wanderin’ Man Adventures on the trek. We have divided the items into five categories. All the items in the list are essential except for those marked as optional.
