Day 1
Arrival in Manali (2,050 mts)
Arrive in the scenic mountain town of Manali, the base hub for many mountaineering expeditions in India.
The gateway to several Himalayan expeditions. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax after your journey. In the evening, attend a detailed expedition briefing conducted by the expedition leaders. This includes route planning, safety protocols, weather conditions, and gear inspection.
A crucial day to prepare your body for altitude.
Short hikes, hydration, and learning how to prepare for trekking at high altitude.
Day 2
Drive from Manali to Khanol (2700 mts) -15 km (1.5 hours) – Trek to Chikka (3,100 mts) 5 km (2 to 3 hours)
After an early breakfast Drive through lush valleys to Khanol and start your trek towards Chikka. Begin trekking along the beautiful Jagatsukh Nallah, surrounded by dense forests of pine, maple, and birch. The trail is gradual and allows your body to adjust to altitude. Reach Chikka, a scenic meadow campsite with flowing streams.
This marks the beginning of your Himalayan trekking experience through forests and riversides.
Day 3
Trek from Chikka (3,200 mts) to Seri (3,800 mts) 6 km (5 to 6 hours)
Trek through alpine meadows and scenic valleys.
You’ll start feeling the transition from snow trekking India to high-altitude terrain.
Today’s trek offers a mix of gradual ascents and river crossings. Walk through wide alpine meadows filled with wildflowers during the summer season. The terrain becomes more open, offering stunning views of surrounding peaks and valleys. Seri is a vast high-altitude meadow, ideal for camping.
Day 4
Trek from Seri (3,600 mts) to Base Camp (4,500 mts) 3 km (2 to 3 hours)
The trail gradually transitions into rugged terrain with moraine sections and glacial landscapes. As you gain altitude, vegetation becomes sparse and the landscape turns dramatic. Reach Deo Tibba Base Camp, situated at the foot of the mighty peak. This campsite offers spectacular views of glaciers and surrounding ridges.

Day 5
Acclimatization & Training Day at Base Camp
Reach Deo Tibba Base Camp, surrounded by glaciers.
Training session includes:
A crucial day for acclimatization to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. Engage in short hikes to higher elevations followed by descents ("climb high, sleep low" strategy). The expedition leader will conduct training sessions on the use of technical gear like crampons, harness, ropes, and ice axes.

Day 6
Base Camp to Camp 1 (5100 mts) – Load Ferry (6 to 7 hours)
Carry loads to higher altitude and return.
This process builds endurance and supports acclimatization..
Today involves carrying essential loads (food, fuel, equipment) to Camp 1 and returning to Base Camp. This process helps in acclimatization and prepares the team for higher camps. The route includes glacier walking and initial exposure to snow terrain.

Day 7
Base Camp to Camp 1 (5100 mts) (5 to 6 hours)
Move permanently to Camp 1 with full gear. The climb includes glacier crossings, crevasse navigation, and moderate snow slopes. Ropes may be fixed in certain sections for safety. Camp 1 is established on a stable snowfield with stunning high-altitude surroundings.
You are now fully immersed in beginner peak climbing India.
Day 8
Camp 1 to Summit Camp – Load Ferry (5 to 6 hours)
Carry loads to Summit Camp and return to Camp 1. The terrain becomes steeper and more technical, involving snow slopes and possible ice patches. This load ferry helps your body adapt to higher altitude and prepares logistics for summit push.
This prepares you for your guided Deo Tibba summit push.
Day 9
Camp 1 to Summit Camp (5,400 mts) (4 to 5 hours)
Shift to Summit Camp with all essential gear. This is the final camp before the summit attempt. The environment is harsh, with freezing temperatures and strong winds. Rest well, hydrate properly, and prepare mentally and physically for the summit climb.

Day 10
Summit Attempt (6,001 m) – Return to Camp 1/Base Camp (10 to 14 hours)
Start early (midnight/2 AM) for the summit push.
Climb through:
- Steep snow slopes
- Glacier sections
- Fixed rope stretches
At the top, you witness breathtaking Himalayan panoramic views of the Pir Panjal range and nearby peaks like Indrasan — a true summit experience story.

Base Camp to Khanol – Drive to Manali (7 to 8 hours)
Descend via Seri and Chikka.
Drive back to Manali and celebrate your achievement.

This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS. Cancellation Policy
Cash Refund (All events including Friendship Peak Expedition except other Mountaineering Expeditions) - Cash refunds are only available for bookings made without any discounts, such as promotional codes or dynamic discounts. Additionally, cash refunds are not available for shifted batch bookings or if the booking status is "Booked". Add-ons are non-refundable. The amount of the refund will be determined based on the following guidelines:
Cancellations made up to 45 days before the departure date
Cancellations made up to 31 days before the departure date
Cancellations made between 30 and 21 days before the departure date
Cancellations made between 20 and 11 days before the departure date
Cancellations made less than 11 days before the departure date are not eligible for a cash refund.
Voucher Refund Policy
Voucher Refund: This option is available for all types of bookings including the bookings made under promotional offers. The Wanderin' Man Adventures would offer you a short-term voucher that would enable you with a flexibility to book any other Wanderin' Man Adventures event using the voucher.
The option of claiming a voucher is available till 7 days prior to the departure of the event. The refund of the amount would be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:
The amount for refund processing would always be calculated basis the net amount paid* for booking the event with respect to the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, portage, etc.).
Please note that the voucher issued would not include the service tax amount paid while making the booking. However, when you use the voucher to book again on our website, service tax would not be applicable on the voucher amount.
Validity of the voucher would be 24 months from the date of issue.
*Net Amount Paid would be the amount paid to Wanderin' Man Adventures at the time of booking after adjusting for all rebates provided by applying vouchers.
