Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Gangotri (3100 mts)
Your journey to the Vasuki Tal Trek begins with arrival at the sacred Himalayan town of Gangotri, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. This small pilgrimage town is the gateway to several iconic treks in the Garhwal Himalayas.
After reaching Gangotri, check into the guesthouse or campsite and relax after the long mountain journey. In the evening, trekkers can visit the famous Gangotri Temple and explore the peaceful surroundings.

Day 2
Acclimatisation in Gangotri (3100 mts)
Acclimatization is essential before moving toward higher altitudes. Today is reserved for adapting to the thin mountain air.
Trekkers can take short hikes around Gangotri to gradually adjust to the altitude. Popular acclimatization walks include forest trails toward Surya Kund and nearby viewpoints.
Your trek leader will conduct a gear check and provide a detailed safety briefing for the upcoming high-altitude trekking days.

Day 3
Gangotri (3100 mts) to Bhojwasa (3792 Mts) via Chirwasa (3600 Mts)14 km (6 to 7 Hours)
The trek officially begins today as you follow the scenic trail along the Bhagirathi River toward Chirbasa. The trail passes through beautiful pine and birch forests with spectacular views of Bhagirathi Peaks.
After a short break at Chirbasa, the trail gradually climbs toward Bhojbasa, a wide valley surrounded by towering Himalayan mountains.
This campsite offers some of the best views of Mount Shivling, often called the "Matterhorn of India".

Day 4
Bhojwassa to Gomukh (3890 mts) Tapovan (4463 mts). 13 Km (6 to 7 Hours)
oday is one of the most exciting days of the trek. The trail leads to Gaumukh, the snout of the Gangotri Glacier, which is the source of the sacred Ganga River.
From Gaumukh, the route becomes more adventurous as you cross glacier terrain and climb steeply toward Tapovan, a stunning alpine meadow located beneath the towering Mount Shivling.
Tapovan is known for its panoramic views of several Himalayan giants and is one of the most beautiful high-altitude camps in India.

Day 5
Tapovan (4463 mts) to Nandanvan (4340 mts) 7 km (4 to 5 Hours)
Today’s trek takes you across the Gangotri Glacier to reach Nandanvan, a spectacular meadow located at the base of the Bhagirathi massif.
This route offers incredible views of Mount Meru, Shivling Peak, and the Bhagirathi group of mountains.
The campsite at Nandanvan is one of the most scenic locations in the entire trek.

Day 6
Nandanvan (4463 mts) to Vasuki Tal (4880 mts) - Nandanvan (4463 mts)12 km ( 7 to 8 Hours )
This is the summit day of the expedition. The trail climbs steeply through rocky terrain and moraine slopes toward the pristine Vasuki Tal.
Vasuki Tal is a high-altitude glacial lake surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks including Mount Satopanth and the Bhagirathi range.
The crystal-clear waters of the lake reflect the surrounding mountains, creating an unforgettable Himalayan landscape.
After spending some time at the lake and capturing photographs, trekkers return to Nandanvan.

Day 7
Nandanvan (4463 mts) to Chirbasa (3400 mts) 11 km (5 to 6 Hours )
The descent begins today as you trek back across the glacier and retrace the route toward Chirbasa.
The return journey offers new perspectives of the Himalayan valley and stunning views of the Bhagirathi River valley.
Overnight stay in Chirbasa campsite.
Day 8
Chirbasa (3400 mts) to Gangotri (3100 mts) 9 km (4 Hours) and drive to Uttarkashi (11 65 mts) 100 km (4 Hours)
After breakfast, trek down the well-marked trail back to Gangotri.
From Gangotri, the team drives to Uttarkashi, a peaceful mountain town located along the Bhagirathi River.
This evening is perfect for relaxation after completing the high-altitude trek.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.
Day 9
Leave from Uttarkashi (1165 mts)to Dehradun (640 mts) 144 km 5 to 6 Hours
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive toward Dehradun, passing through winding Himalayan roads, forests, and river valleys.
The Vasu Ki Tal Trek expedition concludes upon arrival in Dehradun with unforgettable memories of the Gangotri Glacier region and some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Himalayas.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a level 4 adventure on the Bikat Rating Scale.
This makes it mandatory for you to have high-altitude experience of preferably multiple treks marked at level 3 on the WMRS. The altitude, the terrain, and the nature of the climb demand a certain level of endurance and a need for you to be aware of how your body reacts to the various features of the high-altitude environment.

Cancellation Policy
Cash Refund (All events including Friendship Peak Expedition except other Mountaineering Expeditions) - Cash refunds are only available for bookings made without any discounts, such as promotional codes or dynamic discounts. Additionally, cash refunds are not available for shifted batch bookings or if the booking status is "Booked". Add-ons are non-refundable. The amount of the refund will be determined based on the following guidelines:
Cancellations made up to 45 days before the departure date
Cancellations made up to 31 days before the departure date
Cancellations made between 30 and 21 days before the departure date
Cancellations made between 20 and 11 days before the departure date
Cancellations made less than 11 days before the departure date are not eligible for a cash refund.
Voucher Refund Policy
Voucher Refund: This option is available for all types of bookings including the bookings made under promotional offers. The Wanderin' Man Adventures would offer you a short-term voucher that would enable you with a flexibility to book any other Wanderin' Man Adventures event using the voucher.
The option of claiming a voucher is available till 7 days prior to the departure of the event. The refund of the amount would be processed as per deduction guidelines outlined below:
The amount for refund processing would always be calculated basis the net amount paid* for booking the event with respect to the Base Price of the event (excluding additional components like transport, rent, portage, etc.).
Please note that the voucher issued would not include the service tax amount paid while making the booking. However, when you use the voucher to book again on our website, service tax would not be applicable on the voucher amount.
Validity of the voucher would be 24 months from the date of issue.
*Net Amount Paid would be the amount paid to Wanderin' Man Adventures at the time of booking after adjusting for all rebates provided by applying vouchers.
